Cardi B updated fans on the plan for her butt reduction during an appearance on ‘Today with Jenna & Sheinelle’

Cardi B is booked and busy!
The 33-year-old rapper and mother of four is in the middle of her Little Miss Drama Tour and had previously made comments about traveling to Colombia to remove some of her famous backside.
“Oh yeah, yeah, I was saying that, but I’m not gonna do it,” Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, shared on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle on Tuesday, March 24. “I was just gonna take a little bit of butt out, but I don’t have time for that.”
The “I Like It” rapper said she’s comfortable in her own skin these days after welcoming her fourth child, a 4-month-old baby boy, whom she shares with Stefon Diggs.
“I feel really comfortable where I’m at right now with my body and everything,” she said. “I do have a whole bunch of cellulite because I don’t know if it’s the age or I don’t know if it’s the fact that I have four kids, but I feel really good. It looks so perfect, it does, but it’s not. But it’s okay. I’m loving my imperfections and everything, and I just feel really comfortable. I feel really good.”
Cardi previously was recorded talking with Kehlani backstage, declaring she planned to alter her booty, saying she was “taking some out. After this tour, I don’t wanna hear nobody for three months. I’m going to Colombia. Nobody hit me up. Nobody, nothing. I’m taking this ass out!”
At age 21, Cardi got biopolymer injections in her butt. The silicone-based fillers are not approved by the FDA and can cause life-threatening complications, a procedure that cost her $800 and was performed in a basement in Queens, N.Y.
“They don’t numb your ass with anything,” she told GQ in 2018 of the risky procedure. “It was the craziest pain ever. I felt like I was gonna pass out. I felt a little dizzy. And it leaks for, like, five days.”
In August 2022, Cardi had “95%” of her biopolymers removed. She opened up about the process during an Instagram Live that December and offered her fans some advice about plastic surgery.
“All I’m going to say is that if you’re young, if you’re 19, 20, 21, and sometimes you’re too skinny, and you be like ‘OMG I don’t have enough fat to put in my ass,’ so you result to ass shots, DON’T!” she said.

In January 2024, Cardi got another round of injections removed.
Cardi, who is mom to daughter Kulture, 7½, son Wave, 4, and daughter Blossom, 18 months, with ex Offset, welcomed a baby boy with Diggs in November 2025.
“I feel like I almost had a baby a year ago and sometimes I go, ‘Wait, I just had a baby four months ago!’ because I have done so much,” Cardi said on Today.
As for her romance with Diggs, Cardi stepped back in February after supporting her man in his lead-up to the Super Bowl, where his team, the New England Patriots, lost to the Seattle Seahawks.
“Things were getting too heated and complicated. Cardi is very no-nonsense,” the source previously told PEOPLE. “The second she felt that she couldn’t trust him, she pulled back to focus on her kids, her music and tour.”
But despite stepping back, the romance between Cardi and Diggs isn’t completely off the table.
“They co-parent, and the door is not completely closed. They might reconnect in the future,” the source said at the time.
